Complement, Congratulate, and Console

Complement, Congratulate, and Console

I recently listened to the My First Million podcast episode with Jesse Itzler, and I absolutely loved it. Jesse talked about a framework he calls the 3C's, which stands for Complement, Congratulate, and Console. He explained that if we could spare just 3 minutes a day to send a text, a direct message, a handwritten letter, or an email to compliment, congratulate, or console someone, it could have a significant impact on building and maintaining relationships.

I'm taking this framework a step further and plan to use it beyond those 3 minutes. Whenever I come across someone who's doing something remarkable, I’ll make an effort to compliment or congratulate them, or if I encounter someone going through a tough time, I'll also make an effort to console them.

I've come to realize that I'm not the best at maintaining relationships, but it's high time I work on that aspect of my life. It might seem like a small gesture, but people truly don't forget the kindness and support they receive, especially when you console them during a tough period they are going through.

So, there you have it, my two cents for the day. ✌🏾
